  • Vacation Strength

    Hi everyone.

I just got back from a weeks vacation in wonderful Juneau Alaska. I decided before I went that as far as eating goes that this was a regular week and Atkins was the plan.
I went with bf who is also on Atkins.
We stayed with friends the first three days. They cooked fresh seafood as it is the norm up there. I had no problem staying on plan (ongoing induction). BF gave up on Atkins the first evening.
The next four days our hotel had a kitchen so we made our own breakfasts. Even eating out was fine as it was either buffet style or a diner. We ended the trip by going to a salmon bake! wonderful.
The saving grace for me was planning ahead and taking meals for the two plane trips each way and taking a snack bag when we hiked and did sight seeing.

I got back and was happy to see on the scales that I had reached my first goal of 20 pounds gone YeeHaa.

                              Oh, I am so encouraged!

Me and the family will be leaving on a month long trip to Florida tomorrow. I am excited to go in the knowledge that I have already committed to stick to the plan. After almost a full month of this WOE I have realized how simple it is to just stick to what works!

Thanks so much for your encouraging post!
