Can I count Crystal Light, that I make myself with the packets and 20 ounces of water as some of my daily water intake? I am doing 60 ounces of water right now and 60 ounces of Crystal light to get my water intake..

    Re: Crystal Light

Not when it is sweetened with aspartame and has fruit solids in it. You would also be going over your sweetener allowance for the day. Crystal light is a known staller.
People who say it can't be done, should not interrupt those doing it.

Sorry but Sunny is right. Not only is Crystal Light not recommended but the only thing that counts as water is water.

          Re: Crystal Light

There are so many things that I never thought I could omit in my daily diet, for example anything "sweet", or diet soda. But since starting Atkins almost a month ago, I feel so fantastic and not even an ounce deprived because I decided to take full advantage of the benefits of this way of eating. I know that to each his own, but I just wanted to share that I have gone 27 days without anything sweet at all, not even a splenda-sweetened, caffeine free diet soda, and I couldn't care less. The truth is, it's like a boot camp for your taste buds desires. I'm discovering that I can drink water and water alone instead of diet soda (which I was heavily addicted to) or even those sugar free hawaiian punch or crystal light packages that I used to think were "okay". All I'm saying is, I have rid myself of things I was certain I couldn't do without, and If I can do it, anyone can.

Good point Desert Rain! I used to be a huge diet soda and crystal light junkie and never drank water. It just seemed so unappealing and now I am addicted to the stuff! I pretty much drink only water and occasionally I will have sparkling water or flavored seltzer as a treat.

              Re: Crystal Light

Finally gave up the Crystal Light and the Diet Coke. I finally broke the plateau thanks to all who gave me advice. I must admit I was upset and did not want to hear it at first but I stuck to only water and finally broke my plateau.
