Well today I am 1 month into Atkins so far I have lost 38 Lbs. halfway to my goal. I am also training for the Detroit marathon in late October. Thank You Atkins!

Nice job! I like your goal of doing the marathon. I bet you never thought you'd be doing that or even thought about thinking about doing it.
I'm going to silently hate the fact that your weight came off ever so quickly because of the genetic/gender things you got on your side

Must be a genetic thing (rather than gender) otherwise I wouldn't also be thinking, "Man, that's twice my weight loss in the same time frame..."
But I am happy for Moose and look forward to his thoughts leading up to and immediately following the marathon as Julie's description of her marathon have me thinking about a new long-term goal...

Love that you have a goal! The Marathon will be great motivation...
I heard about a triathalon for women in my area that is running tomorrow.... I decided today that I would be a competitor in next years triathalon... OMG... I can't believe I am saying that out loud... I AM GOING TO PARTICIPATE IN A TRIATHALON next Year... the year I turn 40.... that feels great to say that... I guess I should learn how to swim
So you have lost... and are on your way and so have I am I am on my way... its nice to share that!
