  • I need a list of the carbs in veggies...

that I can print off and put on my fridge. I found a list in DANDR, but I was wondering if anyone has compiled this info in a printable format. Also, DANDR only talks about raw veggies. Are the carb counts different in cooked?

    Thanks.

Thanks. You guys are awesome! I was searching the web and searching this site and wasn't having any success on my own.

Review of the info makes me wonder.....why are onions okay on induction? They are a carby veggie.

Small amounts of onion can still give you a big taste sensation when used with other veggies. They do have more carbs but you can perk up a lot of other foods with a couple of sauteed tablespoons of onion.

In regards to the raw/cooked question, vegetables do not add carbs when cooked, but because the volume of cooked veggies can change radically, it makes sense to measure them raw and then you know how many carbs there are regardless of the volume remaining after cooking.

Thanks for the info! That makes sense. I know people who would eat a whole onion, but I'm not one of them. But a small amount in other things really does add to the taste.
