Hello everyone! I just found this site and am very glad that I did! I'm hoping that someone may be able to help me. I am in my sixth week of Atkins and started off losing weight very quickly....23 lbs in a month. However that past two weeks have been very frustrating. Not only have I not lost any weight, I actually gained two pounds!!!!I am still on an extended induction phase (<20gms per day) and have not changed my eating habits but my weight loss has completely stalled.
For some background I allow myself two cups of coffee with 1tbsp of heavy cream each morning and one serving of food containing aspartame such as diet soda or jello each day. (I guess that's a no-no but didn't seem to hinder weight loss initially.) A typical day's menu includes two eggs w/ three strips of bacon for breakfast, grilled chicken w/ salad greens and blue cheese dressing for lunch, and either chicken or beef with salad/dressing for dinner. I also allow myself a couple of ounces of cheese and a handful of almonds during the day for a snack.
I use Ketostix every day and they always turn deep purple, drink lots of water and exercise. What to heck is going on?!!!!?
