  • "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off..."

Man oh man, I blew it. I had three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) of out of control eating, and drinking. No excuses, no rationalizing it, I just screwed up, period. The most dissappointing thing is that the clothes I was just starting to feel comfortable in are now snug again!

So today, it's back to induction for me. Hopefully these four pounds I gained back will go away and take a couple of thier friends with them. I've got a good workout plan for the week, with walking, yoga, water aerobics, and the elliptical machine, and I've set my mind to doing a clean induction. So, wish me luck!

Newest goal: 160 by my 30th birthday, August 13...8 lbs to go!

Must be the way the planets aligned - seems like lots of folks here fell off the wagon this weekend, myself included. Sounds like you've got the right attitude about it though.
    Stay strong!

      Hi Michelle,

      I went there too.
I have been on ongoing induction and got from 188 to 165.5 on Friday. This Saturday we had a dinner party and went off program (1 cocktail, 1 wine, 1 a roll, chocolate. I felt like H*ll on Sunday but I got my butt back onto Atkins this morning.
Oh I got on the scale this morning and I'm 169.

I will be back on until thanksgiving.

I'm with you too... only it's been more like a week of eating off plan... ugh! not pretty. Induction started for me today too. It feels good to be back in control again.

Here's to getting back on track, ladies! I'm toasting us with a decaffinated coffee with cream, and a water chaser...Good luck today on making the right choices!

ps-I stupidly weighed myself this morning...like my weight was going to magically drop one day back on induction after a three day cheat...Needless to say, it didn't happen. But, it didn't go up, either! I'll take it.

i make mistakes, and its nice to know others make mistakes too.
                Nobody is perfect.
I wish you all the will power in the world. because next time I will feel like I did when I went off.

I did not have a slice of pizza, a piece of bread, pasta from 9/1/2007 to 7/17/2008. and now i am paying the price. weight gain, depression, discouragement, saddness. tough to get back to where I was 7/16/2007.

But I know I will be stronger next time because it makes me stronger to fall down and get back up.

I know I can do it. I know you can do it.
I am going to see the doctor at 12pm today, so I will have an accurate weigh in.

i think because we are all looking at this as a WAY OF LIFE.. there will be speed bumps in the road, there will be a slice of pizza or a yager shot in our LIFE..... the great thing that i got out of reading this thread and all the responses is this.... you get right back on plan right away... ! GOOD FOR YOU ALL ... 1 day here, 3 days there.. but you are all jumping back on and that is the great thing.. no one gave up no one is giving up.. you all are my heros ! keep up the good work !!

Re: "Pick yourself up, dust yourself off..."

I just returned from a family vacation at the beach. What a challenge! All my beach favorites--ice cream, fries, cheese steak subs, vino. I gave in to some, not all. At least I managed to incorporate some exercise. But did I notice how lousy I felt after a few days going off plan! Sluggish, constipated, indigestion, upset stomach, irritability and my skin lost its smooth, supple healthy appearance. I even broke out. Wow!

Back home and back on. I gained a couple pounds but learned that I just feel better on Atkins. And that will sustain me.

                      Hey everybody--
Just checking in to see if we were all able to get back on track! I've done pretty well, but my biggest challenge is drinking, as always...At least I'm making "good" drinking choices. And I've been perfect with my food. I've also kicked the exercise up a couple notches. So, all in all, I think I did pretty well getting back into the groove. How's everybody else doing?
                      Happy Wednesday,
                      M.
