  • Just a small celebration to share :)

    Hello!

I just had to post a small celebration and share a great big thanks for everyone here sharing their experiences with this way of eating for life.

Two months ago I struggled trying to get back on Induction and dragged myself away from the high carbs kicking and screaming---it felt like it anyways. I was misserable for a long time during Induction, but I knew it would be temporary. I found the STAC focum comforting and welcoming to those who were returns---gosh, it's a great support feature here! I also joined in the C25K thinking I would try to attempt the biggest feat of all, run a 5k---what was I thinking???? But there are great people doing the same thing, the C25K I mean, and are awesome sharing their journey---otherwise I would just give up and be lost without them . Thank you to you guys too!!! And then there's the Journal Stats part of the board---gosh it's great to have that and JimmieJo for watching over us. Thank you, Jo! . Oh, and of course all the challenges I've avoided until now----I've been a chicken to join----it's all great!

Any ways, I've offically lost 10 pounds in two months, have not stopped exercising since I started (I can even jog 2 miles----well, I just met that milestone yesterday, so I know I'm capable of doing it), I've made it to OWL rung 3 so far after a long induction period of 4 weeks (enough to drive any person crazy--and my family), and I feel more and more each day that I CAN succeed at losing weight....and it's pretty darn exciting!

    Thanks for everything!
    ~Lisa~

That is not small. That is HUGE. You are exercising, running and you have mastered those pesky carbs. On top of that you are losing weight. What could be better? Congratulations.

Thank you for all your awesome and kind comments.

This all still feels like small accomplishments, but in a big way, I guess. It's hard to describe. I guess the big way is that the change in everything has taken a lot out of me....and replaced it with something new.

              Thank you!

Good job Lisa, and great post too!!!

I'm with everyone else here... you seem to be doing very very well. Your posts are great, and you're so upbeat. And remember, those pounds didn't just come on overnight either... so, they can take a while to melt off.

This site is great, and we're fortunate to have posters like you here. Keep it up!

                      Hi Lisa,

A big congratulations to you!!!! You're doing awesome and you've accomplished so much in two months! I agree with everyone here, you're posts are great and I know from personal experience...you were one of the people who prompted me to get my butt back out there and start exercising again after stopping for three weeks and I thank you for that post....I'm back out there pounding the pavement and also exercising with weights.

Keep up the great work and keep us all in the loop! Thanks so much for sharing, it's very inspiring and much appreciated.
