Re: what is donar kebab meat?
I've been to a Turkish high school and they used to give us doner kebab all the time.
Since it's a Turkish recipe, the meat is never pork. At our high school they used lamb. There are two ways you can make the meat - roasted & sliced (this is traditional) or grounded & fried. The sliced one is Atkins-friendly. The grounded one... it depends. If prepared traditionally it's just meat. However, I have seen the one they sell in hipermarkets and it's sometimes combined with bread crumbs (cheaper I guess). So you have to take care with that.
If you buy kebab from a fast food, you should ask if they use carrots. Some kebab recipes ask for them."Get action. Seize the moment. Man was never intended to become an oyster."
