Flaxseed and Omega 3 fish oil

  • Flaxseed and Omega 3 fish oil

    I bought some Flaxseed Oil and some Omega 3 Fish Oil. I'm clueless as to how much and how often I'm supposed to be taking this.

    I also found out that I have the yeast problem. So I got a diflucan from my dr. and I bought some acidophilus plus and some garlic (which says it contains natural and artifical vanilla flavor) so not sure if this is ok to begin with; but anyway I'm clueless as to how much of this I'm supposed to take as well.

    I also switched my cheddar cheese to mozzarella. Giving up my parmesan and cheddar is going to be an absolute torture for me..but I'm committed to getting rid of this.

    I need some help!! LOL

      I don't know about advice, but I sure can sympathize...

      I've been having the same problems. I don't know how or why, but I just can't seem to kick the yeast. So, what I've been doing is removing ALL cheese, spore-y vegetables like mushrooms, drinking more water than usual, and I'm sure I'll need to get to the doctor for some diflucan.. for the 6th time in 4 months!!!!!

          From what I've read it's hard to take too much Omega 3 unless you really
          take a lot. I take a Carlson's brand, 3-4 tsp daily. That gives me about 2,600 mg EPA and 1,500 mg DHA. Some authors/doctors recommend double that amount to initially fight inflammation and then a decrease to lower levels. I've also read it takes weeks (8-12) before noticing any change from this supplement.

          From the skeptic's point of view, it sound very sketchy. "Spend a lot of money for something that should already be in your diet and, by the way, you won't notice anything for 3 months."

          Then again I've read it's the most critical nutrient lacking in our diets today. Err on the side of caution?
