    Re: Alli weight loss pills

I would *NOT* suggest this. Alli works by having foods high in fat pass through faster... It is meant to be used with a low-fat diet because of this. I have heard what happens to people if they eat something they shouldn't be while taking it, and, while you may lose weight, you would probably also end up dehydrated and strapped to a potty.

    Just my 2 cents.

I took Alli when I was doing a low cal low fat diet.... You are meant to only have a maximum of 15 grams of fat per day If you are eating 1200 calories / day then that is only like 11% of your total calories per day...

The reason you are only supposed to have this many grams of fat is because like Lyssie said, it is meant to put it right through you. Any more fat than this and you will get pretty bad diarrhea. In fact you can SEE the fat releasing from your body. It's kinda grouse actually....

So I'd have to agree.... NOT A GOOD IDEA!!!!

I have taken them but not with this diet. I eat way more fat on this diet than when i was taking it. I didn't have a great experience with it when I was eating low fat so I can only imagine how horrible it would be with this higher fat diet! BEWARE!
Caution I BITE! clicky clicky..its tricky rikki!

Isn't it like the opposite of what the Adkins diet is, in a way? Alli is about low-fat dieting, and with Adkins, you're supposed to be eating high fat. So, it seems to me, the two would be contradictory to each other. Might Alli even screw up your weight loss with Adkins?

I'd be interested to hear what others think, as I was starting to use Alli right before starting Adkins, then I stopped the Alli, thinking it would mess up the Adkins. Plus, it gave me constipation, the opposite of what it's supposed to do!

Not unless you want to spend a LOT of time in the bathroom

Pretty much what everyone else said here... NOPE!!!! Don't do those on Atkins. You will see things you never wanted to see, and feel like you've never wanted to feel. Lot's of fat, plus Alli... well, your stomach will give you pains that labor never even thought about doing to you. If you're not on Atkins, it may help... on Atkins.. foggedaboutit! In other words.. don't do it.
