  • My fingernails are actually growing!

In just 2 weeks, my nails are actually growing and they are strong! For the first time. They are usually really brittle and weak. Could this be caused by the high-protein diet? Maybe for once in my life, I can have long, natural, glamourous fingernails!

Atkins has always been amazing for my fingernails. I remember when I did Atkins a few years ago, my nails became strong for the first time ever. It is a nice feeling too.

Hey ..you are right. My nails are also long and strong. I think I will treat myself to a manicure.

This must be an additional benefit that we get from following the plan!

Re: My fingernails are actually growing!

Prior to Atkins, I used to have very weak, thin, brittle nails that cracked and peeled and were never long enough to shape. Besides doing Atkins, I take MSM and biotin, and now my nails are so long and strong, they get on my nerves. It feels like they are always needing cut. It's been months since I have broken a nail and I garden all the time and do other chores that used to break them all the time.

This is another sign that this 'diet' is healthy. A doctor is taught to look at the nails to help judge health, and my doc noticed that my ridges and white spots are gone and instead of bluish-purple, my nail bed is now bright pink.

It's a great side effect, I think. I have to keep my claws, er, uhm, nails trimmed down or I scratch my kiddies and I can't work/type with long nails either. Got to love Atkins!

Years ago, on Atkins, I actually chipped a tooth biting my nails. There is no dubt they get a lot stronger! It finally broke me of my nail biting habit though!

Just imagine the good effects this is having on the rest of our bodies as well! Hair, skin, internal organs, etc. Maybe the fingernails are only the tip of the iceberg!
