Finding board confusing!

I am new and can't seem to find my way round these boards. I lost a thread from yesterday and it has literally taken hours to find it. What is the best approach when learning to use the boards? Is there an overview of all new posts or do I have to look at each topic separately?

you can and should subscribe to threads you are interested in ... then you can follow the thread at :

If you don't post in the thread, you can still subscribe by cliccking on "Thread Tools" and then "subscribe to thread" in the bar above the thread. Then you can choose to be notified by email of new posts to the thread. If you post in the thread notification should be automatic (unless the settings have been altered).
