    maybe a slap upside the head?? LOL
    I need something today!!

    I could really use some support today!! Today is Day 8 of induction and I have lost 11 lbs!! I "should" be happy!!!
    SW Before Atkins 228 (Lost 6lbs in July)
    SW-222 ( 8/4/08 )
    CW-185 ( 1/9/09 )
    GW-145

    Mini Goals-
    1st Goal-199 lbs. made it 9/10/08
    2nd Goal-175 lbs.

    *Summer Goal by 6/1/09 to weigh 165

    Hello Mel,
    I can tell you that for me, this WOE (way of eating) saved my life. At 374 lbs. I was a walking heart attack. Not to mention being treated for Type-2 Diabetes.

    After on Atkins, my Diabetes completely vanished after 48 days and has never returned. That was 4 years ago. My LDL was 199 back then and now is 116. A much healthier range. Not to mention all my Lipids are at a much healthier range now. I also have Hypo-Thyroidism. It was not and still isn't a hinder to my weightloss of 145 pounds. As long as I keep my thyroid checked and my medication adjusted correctly I'm able to maintane my weightloss.
    I just returned from my doctors a couple of weeks ago whom I might add, is Pro Atkins. He gave me a clean bill of health. He always tells me to work the plan 100% and I will always get 100% results.
    You will always find nay sayers in regards to Atkins. They are mostly misinformed.
    I've lived the program for over four years now and am the healthiest that i've ever been in my life.
    Hang in there! You will find this to be true for you too.

      Sherri - you are truly an inspiration. 145 pound weight loss is great and on top of that you are healthy.

      Mel stick with it. When doubts start happening, I find it helpful to go through the before and afters. Mitzi also has a great story to tell when it comes to her health.

        Thanx Debie!! I think checking out the before and after pics is a great idea and def. going to read some success stories!! I'm stickin with it, I am really glad I found this place for days like this!!
