  • I Just Can't Stop.....

    Like I am?

    This question is for those who are as obsessed with weighing yourself like I am. I have to do it every morning.

    My question is what time of day do you weigh yourself?Do you weigh yourself with or without clothing? Do you hop back on and off a couple of times to make sure it's correct?

    I know these sound weird but I just wanted to see if anyone else is as crazed about this as me.

    First thing in the morning
    Butt naked
    Before you eat
    After you use the potty

    LoL... but I only do that on Saturday mornings. I weigh and measure once a week, the day after a complete week for me.

      I have recently just decided to stop my weighing obsession because I was getting so upset when the results were not what I felt they should be. I agree with missnikki.

      Morning
      butt naked
      before food but after potty.

      I am going to limit myself to once a week (ok twice max) but other than that I'd say we are doing too much cause weight changes so much through out the day and week.

        erm, i'm obsessed. I am still recovering from a 9 day stint of not weighing myself (it was a challenge with Adena)...

        I usually weigh myself:
        1. In the morning, after potty, before shower
        2. When I walk in the door from work/gym
        3. Right before I hop into bed.

        I'm used to the fluctuations and I know that I'll vary within 5lbs during the day. *shrug* I think part of me just likes being on a scale and seeing that I don't weigh what I used to. It kinda shows me that I've made a lot of progress when I still have my fat goggles on.

          I am forcing myself to weigh once a week on Wednesdays. It is HARD to do. I was the same way, jump on every chance I could get.

            sugar is obsessed !

            1st thing in the morning (nekkid, after potty, before anything)
            again after shower
            again after bkfst before getting dressed
            again after getting dressed and before leaving for work
            after work
            after dinner
            before bed

            like Lyssie i am aware of the fluctuations, but i also like to see that i am (even after dinner) still not in the 290's.....eventually it will be that i am no longer in the 280's then 270's etc....

              i used to be that obsessive about weighing myself, but i decided when i restarted the plan this time that i was only gonna weigh myself once a week. it's totally not worth getting stressed over the scale jumping up and down from day to day. i usually weigh myself on mondays, but there's been a few times that i've made an exception and weighed myself on a saturday or sunday for various reasons. on those exceptions, i would forgo the monday weigh in and make myself wait until the next monday to weigh again. it really is a mind over matter kind of thing. you may have to make it a personal goal that you aren't gonna get on the scale everyday, then stick with it.

              as far as when to weigh....i say ditto to what everyone else said.
              mornings, after use the restroom, no clothes.
              if you do weigh with clothes on, try to always wear the same thing.

                That is exactly what I had to do. I stuck it in my signature. Otherwise, I get depressed seeing it go up.

                  Thanks everyone, I thought I was the one crazed jumping on every morning. Sugar wow you are really obsessed..lol.

                  I just got off the scale..lol down another't lb...yay! I don'tknow if I would be strong enough to wait a whole week to weigh.. that's an eternity! Well off to drink some h20.

                      I have been trying to hold myself to twice a week. Once on my weigh in day, Monday, and once half way thru, but thats not always the case - sometimes I sneak an extra one in here and there but I'd really like to go with the twice a week.

                        I do the same and don't see it as obsessive. I'm curious of my progress and chart the number in Excel along with other data.
