Should I be using net carbs or not subtracting fiber? I am doing induction, if that matters.

Re: Net carbs?
As we are following DANDR here where net carbs are counted, then I would say, Yes : net carbs = total carbs minus fiber.
Unless you are reading labels outside the USA where most countries dont count fibre as a carb, so list them seperately so they dont need to be deducted to get the net carbs that count on Atkins.Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: Net carbs?
Thank you.
That is what I have been doing, but second guessed myself because of fitday. They don't show net carbs!! Guess i need to manually enter my veggies!Stacy

Re: Net carbs?
Fitday shows the fibre count so you can just do the math quickly.
Forinstance today fitday shows that I have had 23 carbs and it tells me that 7 of them are fibre. A quick math tells be I have had 16 net carbs so far today. No need to manually enter anything.
