  • From Size XL to L....

I think I finally hit a small milestone from wearing XL to L...it's just from one shopping trip, but it was fun .

I cleaned out my closet, again, this past week, and found that I needed shirts mostly to get me through until the end of Sept when I'll have more money to spend--I have to live with the very loose (almost baggy) pants of size 16s for another month or so.

Gosh, it's kind of cool to have baggy 16s...and a great incentive/warning to stay on track with my eating and exercise until I can buy new pants (hopefully 14s).

I ended up going to Walmart yesterday to buy my DD13 a few things for back-to-school and I bought 2 of those "Instantly Slims You" dress shirts.

Maybe the material is more stretchy than the normal dress shirt, but I tried on a Large in both of the shirts and they fit---no pucker up top (apparently losing up "top" isn't a bad thing afterall ), and they actually fit like the tag said "Instantly Slims You". I got two thumbs up from my DD, so I guess I looked okay according to her standards.

Now if I can only find a mirror that instantly slims my whole body

      Thanks, FFN.

I see the decrease in numbers, but I haven't been able to actuall "see" the difference until now.

Did I mention before that I really love this way of eating???

YAY Lisa! That's so awesome! I'm so happy for you! What an accomplishment! I agree, don't credit the shirts for your looking good, that's all you and your success. (BTW, what section are those shirts in? LOL? I want one! Just the name is catchy!)
        Way to go!!!

When your weight is on the way 'down' instead of 'up' shopping is a much happier experience. Good job on your success and your positive attitude! Boy I can't wait until 16s are baggy....

            Thanks, Desert & Mommy

--lol....they're in the women's department, actually, I think to be more specific they was hanging out in the Jr's department in our Walmart, but they're still "women's sizes" where as Jr's are, well, smaller. OH, and Kmart had some in stock at the beginning of summer (when I refused to buy any larger shirts than what I was wearing). But the name alone is catchy isn't it?
