  • Help! Induction phase- what if I cheated without knowing it... what do I do now?

In reading food labels, I always thought you took the net carb count as:

Total carb- Sugar - Sugar Alcohol - Dietary Fiber = Net Carb

    1. Do all ingredients need to have 0g sugar (in Total carb label)?
    2. I had spaghetti sauce last night with 2g sugar in Total Carb count... now what am I supposed to do? Did I just ruin Induction? Do I need to start ALL over again? (I am in Day 6 of Induction)

All vegetables and fruits contain sugar--fructose. That sugar is the carb you count.

When you read the label to any product, just don't read the nutritional info. Read the ingredients as well. See, if veggie A naturally contains 2 grams sugar, but a product made with veggie A contains 5 grams sugar, you need to read the ingredients to see if sugar was added to it.
