    Hi all i weighed in over three weeks ago at 112.9 kilos today i weighed in at 105.5 is this too fast, im still in induction any ideas ????, ps can u eat the cloud cheese sweets on induction

    Okay...hard to answer considering I don't know your stats. But that works out to 16.28 pounds over 3 weeks. If you are overweight..and I assume you are since you are here and losing weight then that is fine. Unless you only have a little to lose then I would say maybe not. If you are eating on plan and getting your 2 cups salad veggies and 1 cup other veggie in and not eating low cal or low fat I will have to say that you are doing great.

    You can eat clouds on induction...but beware of overindulging in them. They count towards your limits of cream AND cheese AND sweetner so I would say they are limited. And they do have carbs so they count towards that as well. I personally haven't tried them because I am concerned about portion control.

    Have you taken time to read up on the OWL rungs so that you know what to do next?? Climbing the rungs is an important part of learning what works and doesn't with your body and how to keep the weight off. And you will lose climbing the rungs as well. Rung one is just 5 more carb grams of acceptable veggies. Nothing to be afraid of.

      when do i move out of induction ? i guess my target weight is 80 kilos or 12.5 stone

        So say approx 50 more pounds to lose. You can move out of induction now if you wish or finish your week out. It is required that you do 2 weeks of induction. After that you can move on. I recommend buying Dr Atkins 2002 edition as that is what book we follow here. And since he outlines how to do this way of eating for a life time it really is a small investment. In the meantime go to the OWL forum and read all the stickies in there. They will help you out. I already outlined the first step for you. You will find a list of acceptable veggies in the OWL forum to help you out. Lots of other interesting info in the stickies as well.

          i found three books and a double video of dr atkins the books are called DR ATKINS NEW DIET COOKBOOK,DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION COMPLETELY UPDATED WRITTEN 1O YEARS AFTER HIS INITAL BOOK AND LAST ONE IS ATKINS FOR LIFE THE NEXT LEVEL

            Go by the Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution for now. Look up the OWL section Chapter 13.

              just from personal experience from a newbie no-less... I really feel you can lose too fast. I went through a week or two on two separate occasions where I lost 4-5 lbs a week... I felt like crap and had difficulty functioning, I moved up to OWL and monitor my ketosis... and figure as ling as the numbers keep decreasing regardless of the speed, ITS ALL GOOD.
              Some here are losing for special occasions, and then want to lose faster... in my opinion doing that muddies the water of the "lifestyle overhaul" we are doing. I keep reading this phase... SLOW AND STEADY WINS THE RACE... every day that phrase becomes more a motto for my journey!
