  • ? for Experienced Atkins-ners: Do you consistently lose weight?

    I just started AD on 8/12/08.
    I started to weight myself daily, but now I'm restricting myself to 1x/week.
    Did you lose weight every week (or every 2 weeks)?

    I've also read that even though you may not see the weight loss on the scale, but it might just happen all at once on a given day... is this true?

    Just really afraid of plateauing, and not losing weight, or stalling.

    Did you do anything differently when you did stall/plateau, or is it just your body is catching up and you will see the weight loss on the scale?

    Hi and congrats on your new journey to a healthier life. I personally weight myself every 2 or 3 days and i also take measure my inches once a week, i really think that i see the results in the inches because i go to the gym at least 4 times a week and do weight lifting and i sometimes don't see that the scale moving meaning no weight lost or gained, but i defenitely loose about 2 to 3 pounds a week if you stick to the diet and add exsersice to your daily life you wont have any problem, and moost impotant take your vitamins because they give you alot of energy. AND THE NUMBER ONE RULE FOR GREAT RESULTS IS TO DRINK PLENTY OF WATER I USUALLY DRINK 164 TO 200 OZ A DAY IT REALLY HELPS CLEAN YOUR SYSTEM FROM ALL OF THOSE THINGS WE USED TO EAT THAT WAS NOT GOOD FOR US.. GOOD LUCK AND DON'T GIVE UP WE ARE ALL WITH YOU!!

      Lepearle, thanks for th motivating advice!
      How long do you do cardio/day?
      When you weight train, do you isolate the muscle groups (arms 1 day, do chest 2nd day, etc.)?
