  • Wow. I would have never thought.

So I joined the dailyplate.com to help me figure out my fat/protein/carbs...

I added in everything I am going to eat today....and I am actually eating equal to or less calories then when I was a calorie counter.

So that means I am eating about 1.500 - 1.800 calories. Does this sound about right?

I was totally shocked. I thought eating all this butter, cream, cheese, eggs, bacon...etc that I was for sure eating way above my "normal" calories.

That sounds about right. I do about 1,800 and even stay under the 20gr of carbs most days. Counting fat and calories at that level I'd be starving all the time. That's the best part of Atkins I can eat less, more healthy, and not feel like I am starving to death.

I did my calories for today and I am only at 1.099....but my % of everything is dot on. Do I eat more if I am not hungry?

Actually, yes, I think one rough figure is you should never be less than 1200 for the day. Your body will just conserve, defeating the purpose.

I would not worry about the occasional day when your calories are lower if you are eating to your appetite. You will probably have some more hungry days when you find you have eaten more calories.

Just make sure you eat 'something' (highfat/medium protein/lowcarb) if you have reached the 6 hour stage.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
