This may be a stupid question, but does anyone know if you can 'customize' meals in FitDay to be Atkins induction friendly? For example, I want to use some of Linda's low carb recipes, which list the nutritional facts.

Re: Fitday Menus
others might know a better way but here's the way i do it the way i do it....
go to a day on the calendar in the future....for instance sept 4th.....enter in all the ingredients you are going to use separately, once you get your final total, then go back to current date, enter the totals you got and whatever name the recipe was.
that's how i do it, but unless you are altering linda's recipes in some way, she has the info you need for the dish, just enter her totals in to the custom foods page

Re: Fitday Menus
Thanks. I actually read the Help section (Duh err) and figured this out. Btw, omg I've not been doing induction incorrectly. My fat percentage was on 40% and my daily carbs were < 11!
Wow! But I'm still relatively pleased with my 16lbs weight loss over the past 34 days. Can't wait to see what happens when I do this correctly.Last edited by frankenspine; September 1, 2008, 09:29 PM.

Re: Fitday Menus
Can someone help me understand Fitday a little better? I just signed up and tried adding some foods and it threw me for a loop! I thought eggs had zero carbs but it had 1 egg listed as .8 carbs?
I wanted to get some answers before I totally got in a panic. I understand when i added a cup of jicama and it had it as 11.5 because you subtract the dietary fiber...THAT I got...but the rest I had a real difficult understanding.
Now, I haven't read the help yet, but since I couldn't find how to get it to break down net carbs, or maybe it does? ...

Re: Fitday Menus
Fitday gives you the total carbs and the fiber as a separate total, you then subtract the fiber total from the total carbs and there is your net carbs.Age 56, height 5', highest weight 175 lbs. 2002

Re: Fitday Menus
Right, and I got that, althought it would be easier if it did it for us.
However, it threw me when it listed carbs for EGGS! Is that right?
And do you have to subscribe to the paid software version to get the online help, etc?
I may do that after payday but right now, I can't. The non-paid version has just left me with lots of questions and I feel really stupid. Is it just really stripped down or do I need to spend some more time with it. Do most of you use the paid software version or do you use the regular non-paid? Thanks!

Re: Fitday Menus
I use the web based (free) religiously. And yes, eggs do have a few carbs in them. But they're packed with a whole lot of other good things

Re: Fitday Menus
ok, this explains a lot because I eat a TON of eggs and haven't been counting a single carb for them and had NO idea I needed to be. Where on earth did I miss this??Originally posted by gbidruglord View PostI use the web based (free) religiously. And yes, eggs do have a few carbs in them.
