I tried out the Super Dieter's tea the other day because my mother got it for me, who often believes any and all claims made as long as they're printed on the front of a box in bright letters. Well, I decided to have some anyways because I dont' really like having plain water and home made tea is sort of my way to keep myself hydrated

And oh man, I learned in a quick that this Super "Dieter's" tea was no more than a laxative in disguise. I don't think I've crapped any solid substance in the last 3 days, lol

oh well, just means more green tea needs to be drank

Is green tea an okay thing to drink on Atkins? If so is there a limit? I have to tell you I really miss my tea.

Well there's nothing in green tea that isn't legal, so long as you you're making it from the tea bags and not buying it in a store. If you're buying it in a store then you have to make sure that A.) it's sweetened with splenda or B.) that there's no real sugar in the front of the list of ingredients in the product.

However, green tea DOES have caffiene in it which can cause blood spikes in sugar.

Personally I've never experienced a stall from caffiene, but I've never really measured myself to see if it affects my weight loss either. I still lose just fine with it.

So perhaps if you're really missing tea, and you want to stay true, you should try using herbal tea hazelnut tea is very heavenly as well.

Edit: To answer your question about limits --- As long as it's not sweetened, you can have unlimited amount I suppose. What is it, really? It's just water that's been flavored by herb extract. However, it is sweetened, your max limit on sweetners for induction is limited to 3 I believe, and so it'd only be 3 servings you're allowed to have.

you can by decaf tea bags and sweeten them yourself.

I thought I read that decaf tea has carbs in it due to the decaffeinating process. I know that regular decaf tea says it has 1 carb per teabag.

I'm going to go and check out the Lipton Green Tea decaf and the hazelnut herbal.
