  • Feeling this new thing: HOPE!

After completing week one of induction today, I'm down 8 lbs. but this isn't just about scales and numbers........it's a like a weight is gone from my spirit in only a week. I know there will be more battles, but before I wasn't (seemingly) able to fight. Now, I realize that carbaddiction is a different kind of beast, and this WOE has given me the weapon I've been searching for to slay that sucker. Feeling lighter, feeling hopeful, feeling lifted.
These boards have helped me know that I'm not alone.

    What a positive post!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Check out our Low Carb Recipes website and add to it!!

Re: Feeling this new thing: HOPE!

You couldn't have said it better!! I have been at this two weeks and I feel exactly the same way. It's empowering! I have failed at other diets because I wasn't eliminating the sugar and carbs and it was inevitable that I would fail.
Now, I know I am succeeding and will continue to do so.
My energy has increased (my main reason for doing Atkins), my joints aren't sore, my stamina has increased to get everything done in a day that I have to without feeling overwhelmed, and I'm really enjoying what I'm eating! My body obviously likes it too.!

          Keep up the great job!

I know what you mean about having the carb demon off of your back. I feel like I am in much better moods now. I love my little pink cloud. Keep up the good work!
