Last night I thought I was going to go crazy, I was sooooooo hungry. I quickly reached for more chicken in the fridge....I felt like Henry VIII !!!! There I was chewing away on a drumstick....but, I can say this morning...I was down 2 lbs. I could't help but weigh myself. I know this is only water, and only the first day, but it's better than gaining 2 lbs. Sticking to the protein instead of grabbing those carbs pays off!!!

I know what you mean. On my second day, I was extremely hungry. For dinner I had 4 slices of bacon, 2 large sausage links, 2 hard boiled eggs, and some egg beaters. It got me through the night. Thank god that's over.
But you're doing great. Just keep doing what you're doing. Congrats on the 2 lb weight loss!

Try grabbing for something that is high fat instead. Atkins is a high fat diet, not a high protein one---for a very good reason. Dr. ATkins wrote that excess dietary protein is converted to glucose/sugar. Whatever isn't used immediately for energy is stored as fat.
So don't make the mistake of eating high protein on this diet.
