  • It worked!

Woohoo! I followed the advice I was given in response to my "Frustration" post that I made Sunday night and, well, it worked.

I'm back in ketosis, and I just "had" to weigh myself this morning. Two more pounds gone. My mind set has been low fat for so long and I'm eating so much of it right now that I was shocked when I stood on the scales.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how you can lose weight when you are eating so much fat but it really does work. I understand it intellectually but emotionally it just hasn't all absorbed yet.

I started on the fitday site and it really helps. Not much margin for error when you are using it.
Just to reiterate it's a 60% fat/30%protein and 10% carbs ratio? I sure hope I have that right. I just realized I haven't been taking off the fiber content to adjust my net carbs.

65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs in induction

The carbs go up a bit and the fat comes down a bit in OWL (so 60%, 30%, 10% ratios is okay--make sure the majority of your 10% carbs are VEGGIES)

Monitor your protein, make sure it is no more than 30%--slightly less is even okay.

Thanks so much for the reply Joy. Somehow I missed the ratio when I read the book and I've lent it out to someone that is thinking of joining me in this WOE.
I miss the book but it will be back very shortly.
