  • Just as I thought

I checked my ketones and not even a trace of color on the stick. I don't understand, I eat no sugar and drink a gallon+ water a day. Should I be worried? I been on it since Sunday, and I think I can tell a change in the way my clothes fit. I looked for bacon today, but all the packages said they had been cured in sugar, but the actual label, said no sugar. Is that something to worry about? I guess I'm just worried too much. If it has sugar in the ingredients but not on the label is that ok? I'm waiting on my book to come in the mail, so right now I'm just winging it. I just want to make sure I'm doing this thing right. Looking forward to my sage sausage in the morning!

Ok my bfast sausage has corn syrup in it. I guess I'm going to have to take it back to the store!

Good for you- You are on the right track. You are being very good about monitoring what you eat- excellent! As for the ketostix- don't worry, mine showed only trace amounts for the first 3-4 days, and then slowly they began getting darker. In the book Dr. A states you should wait at least 5 days to see if the stix turn any shade of lavender. If you still don't see this, he recommends you cut out a salad because its your only source of carbs. As soon as the strips turn purple, you can put the salad back in. He also recommends that you do your LTS testing in the evening because thats usually when you get the deepest reaction. This is true for me except for one night when they showed trace. All the other nights were just as he says. Hope this helps- Good Luck and let us know what happens with the strips.

I will do thanks. On they greens, I bought some spinach and some cucumbers. Will 3 small cucumber and spinach salads be ok? Also, I'm starting to get the yuck taste in my mouth again, so I think I'm back on track!
