  • Oh the joy of saying.....

    I told you so.

My husband has elevated cholesterol. He eats his oatmeal every day and watches what he eats (in a high carb/low fat kind of way). Well he has made a few comments to me about how high my cholesterol must be getting because of how many eggs, fats and red meat I eat. Well I got my report from when I gave blood in the mail today and my cholesterol was....138!! I have never come in lower than 170. tee hee. Now maybe he will stop eating that mush everyday and do Atkins with me

its funny to see ppl who have never done the WOE that 'know so much about it'
my mom is a nurse and swore to me I would regret doing this WOE 7 years ago...when I started shrinking she was like "I guess it works"
its a great feeling to prove ppl wrong isn't it??

I have tried and tried to get him to read the book. He just isn't ready. I put it in the bathroom, so I am hoping he might pick it up

            tee hee indeed! how funny!
yeah, the book in the bathroom, that's good.

my sis told me disdainfully last year, "it couldn't be healthy for ANYBODY to be eating all that fat!" now she's struggled for a year to take off 20 lbs she had somehow lost, then regained, she's now tried Weight Watchers, starving herself, grapefruit diet, god knows what all else.

i wrote her a long letter and just casually mentioned how much fun i was having cooking up all this atkins friendly food i learned about on the ADBB and how much weight i was losing and how upbeat my emotions...the focus was how much fun cooking, not neener neener... I hope she gives it a try!

Good job, doesn't it feel good to have "scientific numbers" to quote!
