  • Good and Bad news

    The good news is (great actually) I decided to "test" it out for a few days before my official start day (which is tomorrow ... Sunday) just to see if I could actually do this...
    The great news is, I lost 3.3 lbs already, so I guess I can do this. The bad news is I am just today starting to have a constipation problem. I also have a few questions.

    1. I read in the book (this is all in the same paragraph) you can have 20 grams of fiber which most of it should come from veggies. but it also says you can have 3 cups of salad or 2 cups of salad and 1 cup of other such as califlower. Well 3 cups doesnt equal even 10 carbs, let alone 15. So which is it?

    2. Please please tell me something that is easy that I can do for the constipation. I read on here a lady that eats Flax cereal. Well can I eat that cereal with Soy milk? Can I even have Soy milk at all??

    I would really appreciate any advice you wonderful ladies (and men) have to offer

    Nope, no soy milk. Put cream or butter in your flax. If you are eating really low carb veggies, yes, your veggie carbs might not equal near 20, that is to be expected. That leaves room for your egg carbs, cream carbs, cheese carbs, etc.

    Huge amount of info in the threads in the above link, like the induction lists, rules, etc. It does take a while to learn all the ins and outs.. thrilled you are reading the book, and you are off to a good start! congrats!

      I know this sounds stupid, but I don't even know what flax is.

      I seen a post where the lady said she ate flax cereal. Post actual has a cereal called Flax plus granola cereal. So I thought that is what she meant.
      I did find another thread about flaxseed (different from flax cereal) and she made that with cream. If I find out where to buy it, I will pick me up some. I seriously need some advice on the "bound" up issue. lol

        Around here, talking about 'constipation' is not too personal, it is par for the course.

        Do find flaxseeds, it is amazing for your complexion. Mine is always awesome when I am eating flax!

          i eat raw brocooli with ranch dressing every day for lunch and have never had constipation issues... what type of veggies are you eating ?? more ruffage may be needed

            Well I was eating 2 cups of lettuce and 1 cup of cauliflower.
            I was pretty sure that is what the book said, that I should eat 2 but no more then 3 lettuce and if I ate something other (like cauliflower) then to make the lettuce/salad only 2 cups.
            I LOVE cauliflower and broccoli dipped in ranch
