  • A few quick questions!

    I have a few questions regarding carb content. What exactly constitutes one serving of celery? for some of the vegetables it is confusing because an exact weight/portion size is not listed. I did go out and buy a food scale to make sure I'm not overdoing my veggies. Also, I have been using Maries Blue cheese dressing. It says no carbs on the nutrtion info but lists sugar toward the end of the ingredient list. Am I supposed to count some carbs for that? I have been using two measured tablespoons on my 2 cup spinach salad everyday. It's hard to feel like your missing out when you eat the rich yummy dressing! I am hoping to add a snack of celery with 1 tablespoon blue cheese dressing for a snack once I find out the carb content. Thanks for taking the time to read my post! I would appreciate any input! I am on day #3 of week #3 and have lost 15 pounds so far. I don't want to mess anything up thanks

    There's a great site called Fitday where you can check out nutrition information of individual food ingredients as well as products such as the dressing. You can also plan & track your daily menus and know the percentages of carbs/fat/protein, etc. to help you balance the meals through the day and still get the right end results: www.fitday.com

    The USDA also has an extensive foods database, if you want to cross-check something.

      F/60 yrs/5ft 5.5" (Though due to collapsing vertebrae I am now only 5'3" - but I refuse to recalculate my BMI )
