  • still stalling...will it ever end?

    Hey guys!
    i really need to know whats going on here.
    i have been stalling for the past 2 and a half weeks. my weight has not even fluctuated one bit. its been stuck at 126.6 for so long.
    i eat alot sometimes, and other times i eat little, thinking that i might see some changes, wether its up or down. but i see absolutly NOTHING. my keto stix show very little ketones or non what so ever at times. i dont
    think im doing anything wrong, my menu has been the same since my first week....is my body still trying to adjust?? how much longer should i wait to actually see more numbers go down? is this it for me??

    How tall are you? It is entirely possible that you have reached your 'healthy weight'

    Also are you still doing induction I"m assuming from your commet that your menu has always been the same this is the case.... if so..you NEED to move onto owl and premaintenance, you should not still be doing induction with only 12 lbs left to lose.

    Depending on your height, your weight loss goal may not be realistic. It may be more realistic to start working out and toning up.

      oh im only 5'4", not really that tall, and your right, i should ad more veggies to my diet, so is this what im doing wrong? if i add veggies, i might actually see difference??

        Yes the first rung is veggies so you should begin by adding more, you can read the OWL forum and there are stickies there with the food lists and rules of OWL. You should reread this section of the book as well.

        Though I realize we're all built different I am 5'4" and your goal weight is far too thin for me I can tell you....My goal weight was originally 120 and even that was too thin, my body settled between 125 and 130. Judging by your picture I would say you are at a good goal weight.

        Why not concentrate on exercise and toning up?

          Shay: A stall is defined as 4 weeks with no change. Also, as previously mentioned, you are at your ideal body weight. Your body is blessed to know when to resist attempts to take it toward a truly underweight range. Additionally, if you have been building muscle (which weighs more) during this time, the formula for BMI will actually OVERestimate your BMI. Which is to say that you may already truly be at 18.5 or LESS which should be good news for you! Please don't force your body into something unhealthy just to see a magic number on the scale. Focus on being healthy! Strengthen and tone instead of chasing a number that tells you nothing about the condition of your body.

          The advice and support you've gotten here and the last time you posted this concern are great and come from people who know their stuff and care about your success. I hope you'll take the words to heart and release your disappointment. You've done fabulously well. Now get out there and take care of yourself!

            Ditto what Jen and the Doc said re: it's been a short time and exercise....
            And I'll add: you are working with homeostasis.

              You look great in your picture, i cant imagine where you would want to take 13 lbs off of. I think that sometimes we see a distorted image of ourselves when we look in the mirror (maybe because of all the boney models?). When i was down to 135 (im 5'5") i would look in the mirror and think about how fat i was and everyone else thought i was crazy. Now looking back at the pics of me back then i totally agree. I think your body is telling you that you are at a perfect weight.
