    Re: down and out...

Congrats on your 5 pound loss. If you don't think 5 pounds is "alot", go to the supermarket and pick up a 5 pound bag of flour and carry it while you walk up and down the aisles. Then you'll appreciate how much those 5 pounds are.

We can expect to lose 5-10% of the weight we need to lose during the 14 day Induction. So if you have a 10 pound weight loss goal, you can expect to lose 1/2 to 1 pound. If you have a 100 pound weight loss goal, you can expect to lose 5 to 10 pounds.

Not everyone loses 10 lbs during induction. I lost 7 during induction, and i never cheated.

You want to lose 38 pounds and you lost 5 during induction...higher than 10%. That is awesome. Keep in mind that those of us who are losing bigger amounts during induction usually have a greater amount to lose.

Drink your water...eat your 3 cups of veggies....take your measurements...make sure that you are not going over your limits and that your foods do not have hidden sugars....move...and you will continue to do great!!!

Tweety I think you are doing great since you have so little to lose. Don't forget-- a lot of those posting big induction numbers have 100 or more to lose. Keep the faith and leave those cookies alone! LOL
