  • Hello people

Hi my names Ken and ive used the atkins diet in the past to great success. Im 6 foot and the lowest i got down to was 10 stone 13. People said i looked ill but i felt fine and had loads more confidence. That was a couple of years ago and the weight as creep very slowly back on thanks to a fast metabolism. I weighed myself this morning day 1 of induction and im 14 stone 3. Its great to find a forum were can find advise etc. I stick to the diet 100 percent as i know if you want results you have to take it seriously. In the past in the first weeks ive lost up to 8 pounds in weight. So im looking forward to seeing how i go on this time. Hope your all well. Ken.

    Hi Ken
    Welcome to our ADBB family

Wow - 10 stone 13 (153 pounds) was quite low for a 6-foot bloke, though a BMI of about 20 seems about bang in the middle of 'healthy' according to the charts!!

BTW are you a Brit or an Oz or Kiwi? I think it is mainly us and our Antipodean relatives who think in stones instead of kilos or pounds

They say that a loss of 5-10% of your total hoped-for loss in the first 14 days of induction is about average, so here's hoping you are in the teens or higher!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Great attitude. FYI...in case you don't know...here we follow the 2002 edition of Atkins. So the rules are a bit different than the earlier version. Stay strong!
