  • Your favorite guilt-free Atkins meal

    so if money and preparation skill weren't an issue, what would be your favorite guilt free meals, if you were fortunate enough to have a personal cook to make it for you?

    me :
    Eggs and bacon
    or steak and lobster with broccoli or asparagus, a nice thick juicey ribeye steak

    not very original I know
    but i could eat steak and eggs and lobster every day for the rest of my life

    Gosh there is so so so much.....

    I love pork rind nachos with cheddar cheese, sour cream, salsa and guacamole.
    I also make this yummy brownie type thing. I take 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of unsweetened cocoa powder and either a drop of vanilla creme stevia or 1 packet of splenda...I pop it in the microwave in a little desert bowl for 2 minutes and out comes a brownie.....YUMMY...sometimes I top it off with chilled whipped cream.
    Gosh, there are so many guilt-free pleasures of Atkins

        Melt in your mouth tender perfectly seasoned prime rib and succulent northern Australian lobster tail served with drawn butter.

            One of my favorite meals is corned beef brisket, simmer with spices and served with buttered cauliflower. But my favorite is Shake n' Bake chicken. Since I don't like the skin, I remove it and get the flavor of the seasoning without the most of the carbs.

              Right now, I am really liking spaghetti squash with marinara sauce, a little pesto, grated white aged cheddar a sprinkling of parmesan and some cooked ground sausage. It's comfort food at it's best. Yummy!

              Also, a nice striploin steak with some grilled veggies. I just throw mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, zucchini, red onion, various peppers etc. in a large bowl, toss with olive oil an seasoning and grill. in a veggie grilling pan. They are so yummy, you get sweetness and that char grilled flavour together.
              Add a portion of faux mashed potatoes (cauliflower) or pumpkin puree mixed with butter and cream and Voila!
              We really have so many yummy choices with Atkins.

                Re: Your favorite guilt-free Atkins meal

                There are so many wonderful legal foods, I hardly know where to start, but right at this moment my dream meal would be:

                Prawn cocktail (yeah... I know prawn cocktail is social death nowadays, but I still love it!)
                Ribs... either BBQd or sweet and sour (ok, sweetner and sour )
                Raspberries and cream
                Glass of red

                Instead of which I'm having:
                Chicken breast with sage, wine and cream;
                Green beans tossed with garlic, basil and cherry tomatoes;
                Greek yogurt.

                Not bad!

                  If money were no object

                  Steamed Maine lobster with tons of butter and lemon juice
                  Spinach sauteed in butter with garlic
                  Roasted garlic in olive oil.

                  Reality right now:

                  Wedge salad with crumbled bacon and blue cheese with homemade blue cheese dressing on it. It only needs about an ounce of blue cheese total to give it a lot of umph.
