  • Me VS the Scale....Not sure who won

So I waited an entire week before weighing in......I stayed off the scale and was really hoping for a 3.5 pounds loss to make my first mini-goal.....However I lost only .5. I was a little dissapointed by this, but I'm also certain I'm getting smaller, I was able to button my pre-preganacy jeans last night, however it was NOT a pretty site.

I also know lifting weights is going to cause me to lose less weight, but still get smaller.....lol.

    Any thoughts??

You're replacing fat with muscle ... rejoice! The tape measure is your friend Don't fixate on that nasty ol' scale ... it's EVIL!

Yes! Definitely use the measuring tape. It really is you friend. Whereas the scale fluctuates too much.
The scale will eventually reflect your efforts especially if you are building muscle it can be deceiving.
The measuring tape is much more rewarding and how your clothes fit.
My scale stayed the same for two weeks and then finally dropped 3 lbs all at once.
You have to have faith that what you are doing is working and not give up because of a number on that scale. If it really is not moving after 2-3 wks. you might try cutting back on something or cutting out something if you've added in new foods.
Keep at it, you know it works!! Also think about how much better you feel.

To me the measuring tape, and the way my clothes fit, is alot more important than the #'s on the scale. Eventually they will catch up. Just make sure you are staying on plan, and exercising, and the #'s will follow. As long as you see that your clothes are starting to fit alot better and getting loser, you're losing inches!

So I took measurements in the waist and hips which is where I am having trouble fitting into my cloths. Its hard for me to measure because I feel like the tape moves around so much, but I tried to pay close attention to the placement. My waiste is 33 inches and hips/belly is 39.5........we will see how this goes next week..............
