    Re: This is very sad

Thank you all so very much for responding to me. All your inputs are very much desired, and I'm so glad for people like you. I'm cutting out pepperoni, and just going to eat until I'm full, and only eat what is allowed....and we'll all just see the results when ever they come right?

Again thank you for your time and comments, keep them comming. And I did get to post my fitday account under the review my menu forum so it is there and I'll just do that ever few days I guess.
    Hugs ~

To successfully lose it's between 10-12 multiplied by your body weight. If nothing moves at 12 x, then drop it to 11, then again to 10. Unless you have an underlying medical condition or are taking medication, you should see the pounds coming off with this formula. Keep your fats higher to help keep you full longer.

I hate to burst your bubble but those 10 pounds on the cleanse were water weight, not fat. Stay away from those, they just mess you up and mess up your metabolism depending how long you are on them.

I'm confused. I have never counted calories, are we supposed to be doing that?

I generally stay right around 1800 a day. Fitday should show you your BMR--thats the figure I try to work with for my calorie intake. Even though (in theory) I should be burning close to 2.5 pounds a week according to fitday, I actually lose a pound a week most of the time. And I am actively exercising 5-6 days a week--swimming, walking 4 mph, lifting weights. I am a slow loser and have reluctantly accepted it. It took a long time to put it on and sometimes you need to get around the idea it will take just as long to get it all off. Sorry, no magic solutions. I think you are doing great so far. Try to be patient with your body as it adjusts. Mine went wacky about 4 weeks into the woe and it lasted several weeks. It still does crazy things once in awhile. One thing I noticed is that I always look really bulgy and flabby right before a whoosh! I don't know why, but i have accepted that this WOE does strange things to my body. But when I work with it, it works.

        FINAL GOAL 165

It's not about the results. Its about the process.

          Re: This is very sad

I hit a point once where my weight started going up daily and i wasnt cheating. I cut out heavy cream, cheese, cream cheese, and sweetners. I also cut out red meat except hamburger, and only ate dark meat chicken with skin. My weightloss started right up again. I find that i have to limit some foods because they can cause me to stall. Especially white meat chicken (even with skin) and beef (except hamburger). Now i only have my decaf coffee 3 to 5 days a week with cream and splenda and keep red meat and white chicken to once a week each and i have one slice of provolone or mozzarella cheese a day. Now i am losing about 2 lbs a week.

I would definitely post your fitday link if you can .... and don't worry about stalling... during induction I lost about 10+ pounds but then right after induction nothing and even gained like 3 pounds ... even though I was doing everything right... it just takes your body a little getting used to all the changes that are being made. So, no worries and don't get discouraged any weight loss is better than no weight loss ! good job and good luck

No - especially if you are at the beginning of your Atkins journey
Some people feel that when they are near their goal weight this needs to be looked at.

Many of us find we dont ever need to restrict calories, as ketosis often reduces our appetite anyway, meaning we don't have a chance of overeating our Atkins-legal foods.

Only if you are not losing weight or inches for maybe 4 weeks and have doublechecked your foods for hidden sugars etc might you need to eat less calories than you have been doing.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?

                Re: This is very sad

Thank you guys. I did get to post my fit day account, and it was pointed out that my pepperoni (that I ate everyday) was made with dextrose...oops. So no more pepperoni for me. This Monday I will (for now the third time in three weeks, lol) Restart from the top. I've yet to cheat in the three weeks that I've been doing Atkins, and that isn't going to change. But as of Monday I will post everything in fitday, only weigh myself once per week (that is going to be harded than not eating chocolate, lol), check EVERY lable for anything that rhymes with gross....And allways preschedule my veggies in (to make sure I get the 12-15 net carbs) before I start eating anything else that day with even .1 carbs in it. Oh, and I'm done peeing on that stick...untill of course I graduate out of step one.

                Thanks again!
                Hugs ~

I am glad you have been able to narrow down what is possibly giving you problems

I found that using fitday regularly helped me keep on track, in fact I still log all I ate most days just to keep myself in line It makes it easier not to eat that offered 'treat' if I think that if I do eat it I shall have to go online and spemd time finding the nutrition info and make a new custom entry for it!
