  • DaVinci syrup question...

When I go to some low carb recipe sites I keep seeing DaVinci syrups mentioned in the deserts. I've never noticed them in any of the stores that I frequent so I went to their website and found them however the website doesn't tell you how many carbs and tell you what the labels say.

Can anyone here who has some tell me how many carbs there are in the type that you have?

Do you find that it's worth the money to purchase the syrups? Do you get alot of use from them?

Thanks in advance for your help

The Davinci syrups are sweetened with liquid splenda so officially have no carbs at all. However you do need to account for the number of servings you use of them, as we are allowed 3 servings per day including drinks/baking/granulated added to foods.
The granulated splenda has other bulking agents added which is where its carbs come from.

I forgot to answer your second question
I use the syrups in baking to make flavoured muffins, desserts and cakes for my husband who refuses to try and lose his sweet tooth

I use the syrup in baking muffins, as well as in my decaf in the mornings. There are many flavours to chose from, and I usually pick them up at Sam's Club.

              Re: DaVinci syrup question...

I bought mine at Walmart. I am like Elizellen's hubby. I don't want to give up the sweet tooth. But I'm not nuts about it either. I enjoy a cup of coffee with a touch of the flavored splenda. I love the cream cheese clouds. And I like the Atkins shakes. I don't think I would ever stick with this WOL if I couldn't have something sweet. I am doing well so far so I'm not too worried. But sometimes I do want to sit down and eat the whole dang batch of cream cheese clouds!!!! (but I don't!)

I could not locate them either until I looked in Walmart at the coffee section.

Oh, we just picked up some as a "manager's special" at the local Kroger. I hadn't seen them there before, but I think we only paid 2.50 for a big bottle of syrup

Gosh, that WAS a bargain price!

We pay the equivalent of about 15 US dollars for a 750 ml bottle over here plus postage as I dont think any bricks/mortar shops carry them at all.

I paid $4.50 a bottle in Great Falls, Montana. Here in Canada, it is $12.00 a bottle, quite a price difference!

TJ Maxx has food products? I haven't been to a tj maxx in many many MANY years and for some reason the only thing I remember them selling is clothes. I'm gonna have to go to the one across town and see what all I'm missing.

Yep, the TJ Maxx here in Athens has a "Homegoods" section in TJ Maxx -- lots of food stuff (mostly stuff I won't eat), but they seem to almost always have a selection of DaVinci's and Artisan SF syrups.
