  • Fruit20 water is it ok?

    I found this flavored water it's called Fruit20. The ingredients are purified water ,contains less than 2% of natural flavor,citric acid,sdoium citrate,sucralose, soduim hexmetaphosphate, potassium sorbate and soduim benzoater to protect flavor. 0 carbs Does anyone know if this is ok to drink?

    Hi, Herb! According to Dr. Atkins, sucralose (Splenda) is allowed ... some people find it inhibits their weight loss, though; or triggers sugar cravings. It's one of those "try it and see" things, I guess

      Count one serving as 1 of your 3 daily sweetener allotments. Be aware that it doesn't count towards your daily water minimum of 64 fluid ounces. According to the book, the only thing that counts as water is water---filtered, tap, bottled or spring.

          Careful with that water... I was drinking grape flavored water and wondered why I wasn't losing weight... there are no calories or carbs but a lot of sweetener and that can cause you to stop losing.

          I stopped drinking it and turned to regular water (boring as it is) and started losing again.

            The sodium can also cause water retention.

              The one I was drinking had no salt, but it put me over my sweetener limit.
              Pure water is best.

                It might not have salt, but it does contain sodium.

                  Aren't salt and sodium the same thing?

                  Spring water, Natural flavor, citric acid, potassium citrate, potassium sorbate and potassium berizoate (preservatives), sucralose, panax ginseng extract, niacinamide, pyridoxine hydrochloride and cyanocobalimin (vit. B's)

                  When I am done losing the weight I will go back to this delightful refreshing drink.
