I am so excited by losing 8 pounds that I told one of my office friends and she gave me these dreaded words of advice - "Yea Atkins good for losing weight but just watch your cholesterol." She also told me about her friend who thinks she developed gout from Atkins,etc, etc.
In my opinion it just wasn't worth going into that by living Atkins you actually avoid all of the heebies and the jeebies and that possibly her friend had gout all along and that she didn't read the book and follow because Dr. Atkins always warns of conditions that maybe aggravated by living this lifestyle, or ....
Anyway, thanks for letting me gripe




I am now very prepared for those negative comments from uninformed but well-intentioned people. I agree with correcting the misinformation and moving on. The proof is in the pudding and when everyone starts seeing how fabulous and healthy you look, they will be green with envy




...Was in HEAVEN -got to 150, for awhile, then got too busy, and gave in too much... and... OK holding pattern "keep it together..."
