I just saw an ad for a new Splenda which is now adding 1g of fiber per packet. Is this one better to use than the original? Would it still count as 1 carb per packet?
It depends on whether they are also removing the filler they usually have in it which does have carbs or just adding the extra fiber. We would need to see the nutrition info and list of ingredients to really know.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies? Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!
That is cool!! No idea of it is 'better' for you (doubt it) HOWEVER one gram of fiber ...hey....better than none. I am a Splenda lover....except when I am pregnant or nursing..so --hope with the next pregnancy to NEVER go back (that will be too hard....).
My splenda with fiber lists 2 ingredients - soluble corn fiber and sucralose.
It has a carb count of 2 with 1 gram of fiber so I guess it still as 1 net carb. I think you still have to count each packet as 1 carb.
