  • mini goal met, new mini-goal!

    Hello all,

As of yesterday, I met my previous mini-goal, and would like to set a new mini-goal:

    2 weeks more of induction

Maintain present exercise (walk/jog 3 mi., 5-6 times per week, minitrampoline, weights and stomachs 1 day a week)

Add another set of stomach reps

Will let you all know how it goes. I'm progressing at a steady pace. Really starting to love exercise. Turning into a mild fitness fanatic.

        Great work, Ruth!!

As an aside it is good to see someone setting minigoals that they will be able to control by their own choices/behaviour rather than 'losing xx pounds in x weeks!!
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

Re: mini goal met, new mini-goal!

Thanks all, for your encouragement and support.

To OzLover: I checked out the Journal section, and hope to post and read there--thanks for the tip.

To ElizEllen: Yes, I've found it much more productive to set goals that are under my control. After all, sometimes our weightloss can stall, or we can gain weight despite our best efforts and "perfect adherence". I see weighing, etc., as a more potent tool for weight maintenance than weight loss. That's just my own bias. I will weigh in weekly when I'm ready to maintain (when I've exercised and followed the program enough so that I'm toned, fit and non-jiggly in all areas that should not jiggle). Planning on getting a good body fat scale when that time comes. Till then, I'm focused on the journey, not the "destination".

              Thanks again everyone!
