  • Fast Food.

    Is it okay to eat fast food burgers if I take everything off it and don't use ketchup? Sometimes I am in a real rush for time and grabbing some McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's ect... Could be a easy quick solution.

    You can check up on the nutrition info for most fast food outlets online.
    I know Macdonalds have a 'bag a meal' site where you can select only the bits of their menu items that you intend to eat so you can find out just what is in just the meat without the ketchup, fries, garnishes etc.

    and I am sure others companies have similar websites.

      I do this in a pinch from time to time (e.g., at airports, on road trips), & though it's always so salty, I am fine afterward. Your mileage may vary, of course, but it is worth trying out.

        Wendy's lets you customize a meal on their website, and they've always been happy to take the bun off my burgers. I always try to keep in mind tho that they're really high calorie - I used to eat like, 900cal meals without realizing it. Eek!

          Yup, I did my research because sometimes I want my quick fast food sometimes. So I go to popeyes.


          (Check the skin/breading off)

          As you can see, if you take all the skin off, and only eat the meat, there's no carbs in that. Just my suggestion.

            The only two fast-food places I go to are In-N-Out (do they have those in Vegas?) and El Pollo Loco. In-N-Out is my FAVORITE... I get a double-double protein style (wrapped in a lettuce leaf instead of a bun) with grilled onions. And at El Pollo Loco I get a chicken breast with a cesar salad. Always satisfies me.

            I've read of plenty of people on the go and ordering salads and bunless burgers

            If I know I'm going to be going somewhere new, I always just google "(enter fast food joint here) nurtition facts" and find the menu item with the least amount of carbs and that is what I order.

              In and out burger rocks! That is the highlight of my traveling to California to visit our relatives. yes, get the Double Double animal style and that thing is amazing! We have nothing to compare here in the midwest.

                hello mastermind well when i am in a rush and i have to eat something i'll stop in mcdonald's and i order a plain double cheeseburger with a side salad then i toss the bun i cut the burger in little pieces and i put it in the side salad mix it around and it is delicious and i've never gained any weight by eating the mcdonald's burgers hope that helps

                  SugarFreeSheila-You look amazing. Good for you. I was born & raised in NYC until a year ago. The Empire State Building is quite amazing even if you've been 30x. It never gets old.

                    Ahh, but the crispy skin and its seasoning is part of what makes Popeye's chicken so good, IMHO.

                    I love chicken skin and I can't resist its temptation, so I just have to steer clear of breaded fried chicken. 'Tis a shame since Popeye's opened a new location a mile from my house a few months ago.

                      well when i go to mcdonald's i ask them for a side salad it does'nt have any meat in it or anything that's why i add the burger pieces in it, i believe the side salad is from the dollar menu.

                        You won't regret trying it! And with the side cesar salad, I meant to put side salad. Their creamy cilantro dressing is YUMMY and has 0 carbs! Just be sure to ask for no tortilla strips. Here is the pdf of the nutrition facts (you can do this with just about any fast food place!)

                          Trust me man. I HAD A REALLY HARD TIME WITH IT TOO. I loved the skin.. but yeah once you go through the induction and onwards, you really don't feel like having the skin. Just be strong if you plan to go there.
