  • It's either a WHOOSHIE or my scales are bad!

Okay. I weighed in this morning 10 pounds lighter than just two weeks ago! I am so hoping my scales are NOT on the fritz! I "feel" lighter, my clothes feel better, but I just can't believe it!

I have an insurance nurse coming out next week to get all the medical stuff cleared for my life insurance policy (so glad I've lost a bit of weight!). Anyway, she will be bring her own scales so I will know then if mine are just being kind to me!

Hope eveyone is doing good out there in Atkin land.

That's great! I think a scale would have to be excessively kind to lie by 10 lbs.

Question... You said "scales". Do you have more than one?

Awesome!! Congratulations!! I am sure the nurse's scale will agree with yours, and probably show you as weighing even less!!

Re: It's either a WHOOSHIE or my scales are bad!

According to the insurance nurse that came this morning my scales are off by 8 lbs too light. BUT I don't know if I can trust hers any more than my own because hers appear to be about as cheap and they are banged around in her backpack with all the other stuff she hauls from house to house.

So I am going this weekend to Target and stepping on about 3 different kinds of scales to see if mine are really that off. We put our hand weights on them and set them to that exact weight ( 6 lbs of weight/hand weights, then set the scale to 6 lb, then when we remove the weights it shows our scales to be 2 lbs off. So we just leave it set at 2 lbs over 0. We thought that was about as accurate as we could get it. So what do you guys think?

                            Thanks for the input!

My doctors scales are terrible! Way out! Luckily, they weigh seven pounds light though LOL! It sounds like yours are probably accurate if you have set them with your hand weights. In any case, if you have used them each time then you should get accurate pound lost results as they would weigh inaccurately the same each time if you know what I mean. Maybe treat yourself to a new digital one? Zx
