Yeah, im glad chicken wings are allowed, i was just worried about the calories but i can see i dont need to worry. As i started reading the replies to my post i was a little apprehensive because some said they get full on 4 or 6 wings it probably takes 10 wings to make up one chicken breast a liittle bit more skin perhaps. Like Chef Kevin said i can eat these things like popcorn. I baked them with a little franks hot sauce (zero carbs no sugar) half way through i doused them with butter. Thanks all for the replies im going to try some of the other recipes.
Chicken wing brilliant choice. But 20 is still a lot to go through. Do you make them yourself or buy. Try making yourself so easy. Have you tried Jerk Wings, quick and easy. All you need is all spice, garlic, salt, chilli powder, pureed spring onion and vinagar. Mix all to form a paste marinate wings overnight and grill when you want to eat them. Spicy and Yummy.
I picked them up at the grocery last night - if I had seen the recipe for the sauce, I probably would have gotten the plain wings, not the already buffalo'd style.
We are having wings for dinner tonight! I like to cut them into pieces (we buy a large package of whole organic wings from Whole Foods) then put them in a gallon size ziplock bag with the seasonings (Jerk seasoning and a few dashes of Chipotle Tabasco sauce for the smoky flavor and a few tablespoons of olive oil). I mix the wings with the seasonings by tossing the bag around until everything looks well-coated, and then let them marinate overnight. Bake in a hot oven until crispy and browned on the outside, wow are they ever good!
I usually am not a fan of tabasco sauce, but after trying the chipotle flavor it gets used on lots of things now.
sweet and sour wings are good. If you make the sauce at home you can make in virtually carb free. Fry the wings then toss them in salt pepper and spring onion. To make sauce put haf cup of water to boil add splenda to taste and add rice wine vinegar. Add salt tomato paste and flaxseed meal to thicken. Then simply pour over the wings. YUMMY!!
I was wondering the same thing as Calsurfman. I sometimes feel like I'm cheating when I eat chicken wings even though I make them myself. If you use Frank's Red Hot Wing sauce there is no sugar no carbs no nothing and it's delicious!! I love it...I just did induction for 2 weeks and I'm going to continue on with it until I lose 10 more pounds.

Be careful about those sauces. The nutritional information is only accurate for the listed serving size. If you eat more than that serving size, then the nutritional information isn't accurate. Pepper sauces, like Franks, is made from chili peppers. Chili peppers have CARBS! So if you double or even triple the serving size, start counting carbs for it. Err on the side of caution and count each serving above the listed serving size as 1 net carb.
mMMMmmm Chicken Wings are the bomb!
I prefer to make my own because I don't always trust the resturants or premade stuff... but mmm. with some ranch and Franks hot sauce...
... We totally pig out on them here at my house..
And of course you know we don't 'count calories' on Atkins... but of course they do matter... but if you're following the book and listening to your body you'll be fine.
So eat em' up! hehe
