  • Determining frame size?

How do you go about determining your frame size? Is there a specific formula or way of doing it? I'm curious because I want to determine if my goal weight of 118 is small enough. Thanks!

You're welcome. I was just looking at it for myself a few days ago.
Apparently I have a medium frame.

                Re: Determining frame size?

Thank you so much for that! I have a small frame which means my initial goal weight may be a few pounds too heavy for me. I'll just wait and see what I look/feel like when I hit 118 and re-assess then. Thanks again!

                  Re: Determining frame size?

I used to have a large frame according to the wrist circumference calculation but after losing weight I work out to have a small frame!!

How do you determine the elbow breadth?

I am almost positive I have large frame. I am 5'9 for goodness sake lol. Others (including myself) have always considered myself "big-boned".

Ok, nevermind. Apparently I am medium framed. Hey that's good news for me lol!

                      Re: Determining frame size?

I'm 5'8" with small wrists but always assumed I had a medium frame due to my height but there are tall people with small and large frames. The elbow breadth is how wide your elbow is from one side to the other. I was shocked to find that I actually have a small frame. But that explains why I still have visible excess weight on me even though I am wearing what I thought would be my goal size.

                        Re: Determining frame size?

i always thought i had a large frame since i always get told your skinny, no your not fat your thick.. and the drs tell me wow you dont look like you weigh that you carry it well..

when i do those calculators i get a small frame lol.. that kind of sucks cause now many my goal weight might be a lil high.. or well worry about one thing at a time right.
