  • Tom question

I would really like to know what is normal as far as weight fluctuation goes before, during and after that time of the month. I have had no weight loss the week before and during. It ended three days ago and still no weight loss. I'm trying to figure out what is normal. I want to make sure its that and not my diet. Any personal stories would help and be greatly appreciated!

    Re: Tom question

Many female ADBBers find that TOM causes water retention. So they don't lose weight and may possibly gain weight. I retain about 3-7 pounds of water during my TOM. When TOM goes away, so does the water weight.

      Oh GAWD I hate TOM!!
I seriously gain like 10 lbs. It sucks.
      Stupid TOM.
      Makes my pants not fit.
      Makes me squishy.
      Makes me pig out.
      Gives me headaches.
      Makes me mean to hubby.
      GRRR TOM.
      LOL

But I do always lose the weight, unbloat, headach goes away and eventually I get nicer to hubby... so it's all good.

          Re: Tom question

I can gain up to 5lbs right before and boy can I feel that water weight in my clothes! As soon as it starts, the water weight begins to come off. I usually make sure I'm exercising for sure during this time to help with that water weight.

If you know you are sticking with the plan, don't fret, as soon as it starts or ends, you'll see that come right off! Remember it's not fat, it's water.. that helps me sometimes.
