  • Shout out to the flax cereal recipe....

whoever came up with that deserves their own cooking show! The recipe I had used flax, protein powder, cinnamon, and butter. It was awesome. The recipe said to put it in the freezer after microwaving, but I just added some cream and devoured it!

It's just right for breakfast. Thank you so much!

I got it from this forum somewhere, but I'm no good at finding things again once I've left them.

It was 2 tbsp of ground flax, a half scoop of protein powder (I used vanilla) and a healthy shake of cinnamon. Mix them together and stir in a heaping tbsp of butter. Microwave for a minute.

After I cooked it, I added cream.

I did not create the recipe, but posted it yesterday.

        I love the stuff.

I like mine cold but it is fine still hot too!

just a thought - are you using protein powder or protein isolate?

To use something like whey protein powder you would need to be on the 2nd OWL rung, to use pea protein powder or soy protein powder you would need to wait till the 6th OWL rung.

Also do watch how much extra protein you are eating - for Atkins we should be eating about 30% of our calories from protein as Dr Atkins said this
excess protein converts to glucose and can keep fat from becoming the primary fuel.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
Take a look at the thread from the latest Veggie Challenge to see how others manage it!

It was whey protein powder. I actually had bought it long before Atkins. I'm past the dairy rung. Well, I made it up to the nut rung and pretty much stopped, because I'm happy where I am. I'll keep moving through the rungs when I start getting bored.

I suppose I should change my signature to tell everyone that I'm a nut.
