  • Maize Starch

    Hey,

I found a recipe yesterday for flax crackers, but I couldn't find any flax meal in my local supermarket and couldn't make them!

However, I did find crackers which are free from wheat and gluten and are made from maize starch. I'm just wondering if these are suitable for induction????

    Thanks!

    Re: Maize Starch

Maize is corn, so, not really for induction....

Check out the nutrition label, what does it say for carbs?
"I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

Buffalo wings, not just for breakfast anymore.

Hey baby, how do you like bald fat guys with no money?

Think they're like 3 carbs per cracker - I can't remember off hand and I'm at work at the minute!

Darn - thought I had found something good!!

Yeah, that is no fun. Like getting a new toy and no batteries....

American Spice (.com) has flax seed for $6.99 a pound, I was shopping the site so i looked it up.
Might find them cheaper elsewhere, but I was looking at their black friday sale.

          Have a great day!

Always read the ingredients and make sure those ingredients are suitable for Induction. If you are unsure, then download the pocket-sized Induction Acceptable Foods list and carry that with you when you shop or eat out. That way, you won't waste your money on a product that you can't eat.
