  • Happy Thanksbacon

I found this website that made me think of the stereotypical Atkins Dieter and the myth of the "ALL BACON ALL THE TIME" diet.

    Happy Thanksbacon!

I would eat this tough, at least a leg.

      Re: Happy Thanksbacon

that looks much like the bird I will be eating. (really!)

It's a cooking technique called barding. Keeps the turkey super moist. That is a fairly large amount of bacon, I would do a bit less than that myself.

      mmmmmmmmmm........

I love it. If I ever had kids, I would name one bacon.

On thanksgiving, calories don't count. (Take that Dr. Atkins....RIP and Thanks for this diet!)
(I know what he really wrote, so don't flame me......)
      hehehehehe!!!!
"I'm big boned" ...Um, nobody has bones that big....

Buffalo wings, not just for breakfast anymore.

Hey baby, how do you like bald fat guys with no money?

                  Re: Happy Thanksbacon

Thank goodness I saw this thread before helping my DM with her turkey Wed. night... the bird (in an opaque package) had been soo poorly prepped by the (machine? / butcher?) that half a breast was devoid of skin, and we had to keep it from drying out another way. Pinning on bacon was the first choice alternative to sewing together scraps of skin to make a patch (we needed to cover the stuffing with that skin).
