  • Totally learned my lesson!

    Well, folks,

After being on this awesome WOE for 30 days, I took Thanksgiving day off. Had toast with peanut butter, turkey + all the fixings, stuffing and cranberry sauce and a bite of pie.

NEVER AGAIN! Only today am I finally showing a trace of ketosis, and only this morning am I feeling normal.

I was up four pounds as a result and now am back down by three.

That foray has proven a strong impetus for me to keep on keeping on with this WOE; the consequences just aren't worth it. And it wasn't even the temporary weight gain; I know I didn't overeat as far as calories were concerned; it was how I felt! Sluggish and like I swallowed the most gigantic air bubble that trapped itself in my chest for 2 days.

    Thanks for all your support.

I didn't indulge as much as you, but I overdid it and felt the same way and I came to the exact same conclusion!

Sometimes a cheat can have a positive outcome... seems like you both are discouraged from taking any more days off. That's great. It's always good to learn from past experiences, and now you can look to the future and focus on goal!

That's absolutely true for me. Maybe I'll take one day off in 2009, for my 10th wedding anniversary in August, but that's it.

        Thanks for your support!

Yeah, I can't imagine going back to eating the way I used to now. I mean, ugh, it put me into a coma!

You need to look at Thanksgiving as a positive experience. Look at the lessons that you have learned and it will help to keep you focussed going forward.

So TRUE! I "splurged" one night on a dessert. For me it was good b/c I didn't pig out and over indulge the whole day and limited it to just one thing - but i felt crappy the next day, it triggered cravings, ect. Anyways it Soooooo wasn't worth it! Sometimes you have to step over the line to know where it is.
