  • what are "rungs"?

    ok so i was editing(still am) my profile and it asked which phase i was in and said rung 1-9.. just curious what that means..

    and yes i have read the book.. it was a few months ago though i dont remember reading anything like that.. just figured id ask real quick because i want the answer now lol

    but i am going to recheck out the book later in the evening.

    In the book, Dr. Atkins discusses adding foods back into our diets in a specific sequence during On-Going Weight Loss Phase. He called that sequence the "Carbohydrate Ladder". Ladders have rungs or steps. So we've been calling each level a "rung" on the ladder.

      I havent read the book yet but have ordered it and am waiting for it to be delivered

      any chance someone can give me abit of detail about what each rung involves. Someone posted it before but i cant seem to find it also how long is each rung for? is it same as induction 14 days for each step?

          It's possible that you read an older version of the book. I have the 1999 edition and there are no rungs in that one.

            We actually follow the 2002 edition on the board

              Yes, I am aware of that, but I come here anyway. I was suggesting that having an older version of the book would explain why MySkinnyMission doesn't remember reading anything about rungs.
